The Adventures of "Mister Photo" !!!

Every piper picks up more than a few pics of himself in his career. At times it is amazing how many snap happy maniacs come along. I like to collect these photos from weddings or events I am at, so here are some of the better ones.... Enjoy! (Photos will open in a new window)

A drummer friend gave me the nickname "Mr. Photo" back in 1994, for somehow I kept turning up in photos of all these different newspapers from all over Europe. I just couldn't understand why they wanted a photo of me. There were 5 other pipers they could get photos of, after all.

Well, over the years I must say I think I have had more than an unfair share of newspaper exposure. What on Earth possesses them to take my picture? What is it? The Luck of the Irish? Good karma? I honestly still don't know. Some of the highlights below include me speaking with HRH Prince Edward, a fashion shoot for the Montreal Gazette and "poster boy" honours for the 2001 Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Yes indeed, the "paparazzi" just won't leave poor Jeff alone.

Here is a small collection of some stuff of me on YouTube... I have embedded the most commonly visited ones, but there are a few more on there. "The Sleeping Tune" video gives you an idea as to what my bagpipe usually sounds like but we are all entitled to a bad day every now and again! I always strive to have the best possible bagpipe sound , so I hope you enjoy this tune as much as I do. It was played at my wedding by a fiddler.
